The Nurse Advice Line is available from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays). This is NOT an emergency line.

Patient Support

The Nurse Advice Line aims to meet the needs of patients and their families, providing confidential, independent advice on all aspects of continence care. Our nurses have an in depth understanding of continence management and regularly update themselves in accordance with NMC guidelines. Clinical advice given includes trouble shooting of problems associated with urinary sheaths, indwelling catheters and drainage systems, intermittent self catheterisation and dilatation.

Nurse Support

The Nurse Advice Line provides a service for Healthcare Professionals. Our nurses are specialists in the field of continence, with an abundance of experience within the NHS. Therefore, they are well placed to provide advice and/or support and answer any queries you might have. You can also request BD product samples and product information to be sent direct to patients free of charge.

Nursing Service

Script-easy^® specialist nurses provide clinical care and support for patients with a range of continence and urology conditions. With a clear mandate to promote patient safety, the nursing team works closely with the NHS and other health care providers to optimise continence care, minimise infection risks and avoid unnecessary hospital admissions. Services include holistic continence assessment, support for patients with indwelling urinary catheters, tuition of intermittent self-catheterisation (ISC) and fitting of urinary sheaths. The team also provide training for patients, carers and health professionals.

ISC Teaching Support

The Nurse can send your patients an information booklet to prepare them before you teach them self-catheterisation.

2. Request items required from our nurse advisor OR leave a message on our secure, confidential message service
3. Provide patient name and address
4. Our nurse will then arrange delivery of items direct to the patient.

These nursing services are approved by the NHS and complimentary of BD through Script-easy^® at no cost to you or the NHS.
